I want to know the accommodation situation of studying in the UK. If I study in the UK, what kind of accommodation will I have to choose from, and what their costs are.

According to NatWest’s latest student survey in 2017, the average monthly rent of students in London is as high as £ 584.23, which is the highest rent city in the UK, exceeding the average level of £ 448. In remote areas like Belfast and Cardiff, the average monthly rent is more than 100 pounds lower than the British average. If you live in a remote area or in a rural area, the cost of accommodation may be relatively low, but in a big city like London, the cost of accommodation is very expensive. The rent in the UK is quite special. It is settled according to the week, which is different from the monthly settlement in China. Therefore, when you calculate the money, you should not naively multiply the rent of a week by four. The correct calculation method is: (rent of a week) X52 (weeks of a year) + 12 (months of a year). I get this information through this website, and you can also click to get more relevant information: https://www.uhomes.com/

As far as I know, accommodation in the UK is relatively poor and expensive. You can only rent a small room at a high price, unless you can bear your roommate and choose to share with him.
—TianyiLi(Oliver)

There are basically three types of rooms in the dormitory :Standard, en-suite and Studio.
Standard (public toilet, kitchen), the room will be equipped with the most basic of single bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, but need to share with others, toilet, bathroom and kitchen benefit is the price is cheaper, the downside is that the public areas is more, if meet more messy roommate, for love clean people may be completely unbearable.
EN-SUITE, which is better than Standard, shares the kitchen and living room with others but has its own bathroom, which is better for the price. But there are also worries about the communal kitchen, such as roommates who may use your kitchenware without permission, or don’t clean the kitchen after cooking dinner, etc., and you also need to see if you can meet good roommates. In addition, there are some dormitory kitchens that are relatively small, so the meal point is more crowded.
The Studio(own bathroom, own kitchen) is the most fully equipped room with bathroom and kitchen, and the corresponding price is also the most expensive. The advantage is that you have a small room of your own, and you’re not afraid to run into all kinds of weird roommates. The disadvantage is that they have a small room, less communication with others, easy to feel lonely. In addition, because the kitchen and bedroom are in the same room, if you cook by yourself for a long time, the room is easy to smell of food.
Generally speaking, the school dormitory is located in the school, which is more convenient and safe to attend classes. It is more expensive than renting a house and cheaper than boarding. It also has a school atmosphere, so you can meet people from different cultural backgrounds. The downside is that many schools require students to pay for housing for a semester or academic year at a time, which can lead to higher upfront costs. If it is just to study abroad in the UK, or more recommended to live in the dormitory.

British graduate accommodation is mainly divided into two categories. The first category is school dormitory houses, which only have public kitchens and public toilets; the second category is apartment-style, where the environment is better than the first, and the rent is higher. You can rent together with friends.

As far as I know, the accommodation conditions in Britain are not very good. You can imagine how compact the residential land will be if there are many people living on a small island. Accommodation in the UK tends to be small and expensive. Most students choose that kind of studio. Single room, separate bathroom. But the price of the house will be too expensive.

This is the analysis of the UK study abroad accommodation:

In fact, there are two kinds of accommodation in Britain: one is to live in student apartments, the other is to rent one’s own house.
1 – on campus apartment: on campus apartment refers to the dormitory of the school, not necessarily on campus.
2 – third party apartments cooperating with schools: there are many such apartments, and they are relatively old.
3 – independent third party dormitory.

Choosing a dormitory should consider three issues: 1. Distance from your main teaching building 2. Type of dormitory 3. Money
Three types of accommodation on campus in the UK
      1. The single is to share the bathroom with others. Of course, this kind of old building is relatively close to the teaching area. And the single is generally smaller.
      2. En-suite room type has an independent bathroom, which saves the trouble of grabbing the bathroom with others, and it is relatively independent, but the kitchen is shared with others, which is relatively good.
      3. Studio is the largest room type. Usually, it has its own bathroom and its own kitchenette.
