For a qualified letter of recommendation, the first thing is to be objective and pragmatic, and the credibility of the letter of recommendation should be put in the first place. The content of the recommendation letter should not be too specific or too uniform. It is very important to master this degree, otherwise, the credibility of a recommendation letter will be greatly reduced. References are part of the paperwork and should be consistent with your overall positioning. If you focus on the research results in your presentation, the reference letter should use the references to confirm that you are a research-oriented talent. Similarly, some of your characteristics, abilities, achievements, etc. can also be transmitted through the recommendation letter, as side support of your overall image.

When choosing a professor as a reference, be careful to consider your relationship with him. Try to choose a professor who has taught you at least two courses, or he may not be impressed enough and write an empty and broad letter of recommendation for you. It is better to choose a professor who has worked together on a project or research with you. In this way, the recommendation letter can highlight your advantages and enrich the content, which will easily leave a deep impression on the other university.

Universities pay more attention to the content of the recommendation letters when they examine the recommendation letters of applicants. Therefore, I suggest that students still need to find a teacher familiar with them when preparing the recommendation letters. At the same time, we should contact and actively communicate with the teacher as soon as possible, so that the teacher can better understand your previous experience, so that the teacher can write a recommendation letter with content, and make it a help for our application. For those who have already graduated, it is important to communicate with the teacher by email as soon as possible, and the teacher is usually willing to help us prepare the recommendation letter.

During the application for graduate school, the quality of a recommendation letter matters a lot. A good recommendation letter does not only focus on superficially good words but is closely related to a good personality or an outstanding trait the professor see from you. For instance, while working as a team in the group project, you may show a good leadership or a qualified coordinator. Also, if you can always achieve high grades, the professor may find out that you own a fast learning ability and develop a mature learning method. Those advantages will highlight the recommendation letter. However, to make your professor find out those advantages of you, you need to keep in touch with specific professors. At lease, you should have his or her courses for two semester and keep communicating with him or her such as doing research or otherwise, the recommendation letter will be exactly the same as others and thus have no worthy point for admission committee.

Make sure to give your references at least one month before your earliest deadline to complete and send your letters. The earlier you ask, the better. Many teachers like to write recommendations during the summer. If you apply under early decision or early action plans, you’ll definitely need to ask for recommendations by the start of your senior year or before.
Remember that some teachers will be writing whole stacks of letters, which takes time. Your teachers will do a better job on your letter if they don’t have to rush.
Some teachers write many recommendation letters each year. Even if they know you well, it’s a good idea to take some time to speak with them. Make it easy for them to give positive, detailed information about your achievements and your potential by refreshing their memory.

In the process of applying to graduate schools, letters of recommendation are very important materials, because the comments of the recommenders can reflect and confirm whether the applicant meets the requirements of the graduate school. Letters of recommendation can come from academic professors or employers during internships. In order to demonstrate truthfully and fully what the recommender knows about the applicant, it is best for the applicant to choose a professor who has taken at least two classes or has been involved in their research projects. Otherwise, the recommender will not be able to write something unique and authentic. As for employers, I recommend that applicants demonstrate their professionalism, teamwork, problem solving, innovation, etc., to the fullest extent possible during the internship.
In addition, communication with professors or employers is very important. They are busy and may need to spend a lot of time writing letters of recommendation. Therefore, it is better for the applicant to contact the recommender one month in advance to express his/her needs clearly and provide the relevant personal data, such as resume, certificates and so on, to help the recommender to have a more comprehensive understanding of himself/herself. When communicating, be polite and don’t urge your referees too often.
If there is no specific requirement, I would recommend that applicants provide separate references from academic professors and employers to prove that they have excelled in both academic and professional development.

About the recommendation letter, I think two copies should be prepared. One is from a professor who knows you well, and the other is from the company where you interned. You should talk to your the professor in advance so that he or she can write a letter of recommendation that highlights your strengths. These two letters of recommendation can show your academic performance in school and your ability in the job, which I think will improve your chances of being admitted

A letter of recommendation is a document designed to add extra weight and merit to a job or college application. They are usually written by a supervisor, colleague, or professor. There are three main types of recommendation letters–employment, university applications, and character references. Here the letter I introduce is a recommendation letter for university applications.
Apply for university, graduate school, or scholarship. Almost every university program requires at least two recommendation letters for their application process. Through the recommendation letters, universities have the chance to know more about the student. From the recommendation letter, they are able to know the interpersonal relationship. communication skills and other soft skills. By requiring recommendation letters, the application process will be more holistic. The university can know the whole student, not just GPA. They can know more aspects like personality, values, and goals.
Here is a link from Cambridge university about the requirement of a recommendation letter. Here the recommendation letter is been called an academic reference. students need to give the details of two referees who can provide academic references written in English. And there is a chart for more details about people who wrote the letter for students. It divides the requirements into three categories, depending on the student’s situation. Basically, we belong to the first situation that students are currently studying (or have recently finished studying) at the undergraduate level. Students need two tutors from their undergraduate degree course.

As for the letter of recommendation, I think we should consider the following aspects: the content of the letter of recommendation, the professor’s teaching major, the relationship between students and professors and the professor’s professional title. One of the most important is the relationship between students and professors. Only when the teacher really understands you, can he write a rich recommendation letter for you according to your characteristics. Secondly, the teacher’s teaching major is also very important. If you are a business student, the recommendation letter written by an English teacher is not so convincing. If all of these are met, we can compare the title of the teacher or the graduate school, and choose a better one.

It is widely believed that students should ask the professor who graduated from a famous university for a recommendation letter. However, this point of view is limited. From my perspective, the recommendation letter should be considered in three aspects: relation, connection, and major. Above all, as for the relation, you should consider the professor you are familiar with. If you have taken only one course taught by the professor, a professor does not know you well and cannot write the recommendation letter’s appropriate content; an effective content in the recommendation letter is really important, accurately showing your personality, ability, and others. What is more, you should also find the recommendation letter closely related to the program you are applying for. The more connection between the recommendation letter and the program, the more chance you will have for entry. Last but not least, based on the previous two steps, you need also consider the major. Different majors ask students to search for a professor with the same or similar major, showing you have a good command of the knowledge in your major with good learning ability. Recommendation letters are an important part of the postgraduate application process. Because schools will not only look at grades and resumes to determine the quality of students. The school also wants to know how you feel about your experience, talents and personality. The average graduate school asks for two or three letters of recommendation from applicants. You need to find the right people to help write the letters of recommendation. It is better to be a professor of your major, they are familiar with you. Most importantly, when asking your professors to write a letter of recommendation, you should inform them of your intention, so that it will be more relevant to the school you are applying to.

I think a good letter of recommendation is helpful for us to apply to graduate university. It’s better to find a professor who is familiar with you and who is related to the major you want to apply for to write you a letter of recommendation. The professor who is familiar with you can better highlight your advantages in the letter of recommendation, and the content will be more rich and authentic. If you are just looking for a strange professor to help you write a recommendation letter, then the role of the recommendation letter may not be very big, because the recommendation letter lacks real emotion. In addition, please find a professor who is related to the major you want to apply for to write a letter of recommendation for you. For example, if the major you want to apply for is accounting, please ask an accounting professor to write a letter of recommendation for you.
Actually, in college life, we should not only study hard but also keep close contact with professors. Therefore, the professor can help you better.

If a professor with a high reputation abroad is willing to write you a letter of recommendation, then your offer is almost ready. But the fact is that many teachers have not been active in international conferences in this field for a long time, and have no international reputation. Therefore, the key to the recommendation letter is to find an enthusiastic and relatively good professor.

There are some things to pay attention to when writing a recommendation letter. First of all, the letter of recommendation must be brief and clear, not too long. More than one page of a letter of recommendation is not good. Secondly, if the person who writes the letter of recommendation is your relative, don’t indicate your blood relationship in the letter of recommendation. Because blood relationship will make people think that your excellence does not come from your own efforts. There are a lot of format problems and English grammar problems to pay attention to. You can read the links for help.

The recommendation letter is required no matter in the U.S. or UK, usually for the school in America, they ask at least two letters, one comes from your major professor. For example, I am the finance major, so I must have a recommendation letter from my finance instructor and another one from other staff like management professor. Besides, if we could have one more letter from our internship instructor, it could be better, especially from the first internship, because it shows that you perform well even if it was the first internship.
When we ask for recommendation letter on campus, it is better to choose the professor that is familiar with you, which means at least you should take two of his or her lessons and try to perform well.

Recommendation letters are an important part of Western culture. In the Western job hunting culture, job seekers are recommended from the perspective of the job seeker’s leader or the people around them, and the same applies to the recommendation letter for studying abroad. Considering that students’ evaluations of themselves are inevitably not objective enough, admissions officers hope to objectively understand the situation of applicants from the perspective of a third party. So in essence, the letter of recommendation in the application process for studying abroad is a subjective evaluation of the applicant by the recommender. His credibility and value are affected by the position of the recommender, personal integrity and reputation. Therefore, the author, content and attitude of the recommendation letter will become an important reference part for admissions officers.

The recruiter looks at the recommendation letter:
First glance: look at the recommender’s head and background
Second eye: look at the main body and details of the recommendation letter
The third eye: see if the recommendation and other application materials are harmonious

About the letter of recommendation, I have to say that it’s easy for us to attain it. You know that most of our professors are foreigners, it’s convenient for us to ask them to help us write a recommendation letter. I have searched some information about the recommednation. The content is roughly divided into two parts, personal information and recommednation. To make it better, we should make much effort to join some exam like IELTS and GRE or GMAT.

If you know what a recommendation letter from your teacher will contain, you can prepare for it earlier. In a letter of recommendation, there are usually two main parts. In the first part, the referrer will briefly introduce the relationship between the referrer and the referrer, such as your teacher or your employer. If the referrer is your teacher, this part may be about what courses you have taken and what kind of relationships between you and your teacher, especially how exactly he or she knows about you. In the second part of the recommendation letter, the reason why they recommend you will be mentioned, for example, it is because that you have performed well in a certain course, or you have a strong academic background, or you have a valuable personal quality that impresses them. These materials are drawn from the daily life of you and the recommender, such as the questions you answered in each class, or the further discussion of the course after class, which will make the letter of recommendation profound and vivid. What are the best things to include in your email asking for a recommendation letter? If the teacher is already familiar with you, it’s not surprising that he or she knows you well. If the teacher is not very familiar with you, we can also consider reminding him of your previous interactions with him to deepen his impression. For example, if you have taken one of his courses, or you often ask questions after class, such a reminder can help the teacher who writes the letter of recommendation to quickly establish his impressions on you, it is a good skill. If you ask the teacher for a recommendation letter in the mail, you can attach the CV, transcript, and personal statement to help teachers better understand your application. You can also briefly talk about what skills matter more to apply for your target professionals. In a word, what we can do is to provide more information for teachers, which is convenient for them to come out words to say when writing a letter of recommendation, this can also help you create more opportunities for your own applications.

Generally speaking, there are three main factors that influence the strength of a recommendation letter: 1. The background of the recommender (academic reputation). 2. The degree of recommendation must be strongly pushed 3. The relationship you have with your reference (a strong relationship allows you to write more details and be more persuasive)
一般来说，影响推荐信力度的主要有三个因素：1、推荐人的背景（学术声望）。 2、推荐的程度，一定要是强推。 3、你和推荐人之间的关系（关系紧密，才有更多细节可写，更有说服力）
